"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not rely on your own understanding; in all your ways know Him, and He will make your paths straight. Don't be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and turn away from evil. This will be healing for your body and strengthening for your bones."
--- Proverbs 3:5-8
Reopening the doors of our Church building and Worshipping our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ together is something that the leadership here at FBC Davis is excited about. While we are excited to see each other, we cannot let that cloud our judgment as to the severity and danger that Covid-19 presents. We all have heard of people who have been affected by this virus in one way or another and need to continue to pray for those with the disease and for those families who have lost loved ones to it.
Our understanding is that the state of North Carolina will be moving into phase 2 this weekend. We also see where Churches are now allowed by law to meet. This provision does not limit the number that can be inside of the building at this time. However, this situation is continually changing and with those changes, the policies laid out in this letter might be subject to change as well. (Please click here to continue reading the guidelines)
Welcome! Thank you for visiting our First Baptist Church of Davis website. We hope that you find here the opportunities to worship, fellowship and serve God . Our Sunday School classes are meeting virtually via Google Hangouts and YouTube and we are so thankful for the technology that God has blessed us with! The Adult lesson for this week is "Staying Sober" with the Scripture coming from Proverbs 23:17-21, 29-35. God expects believers to be good stewards of the bodies He has given them. God's people need to stay sharp, focused, and fully engaged in life - living within the guidelines of God's wisdom. The Children's lesson for this week is "Malachi, Prophet To The Remnant of Judah" with the Scripture coming from the Old Testament Book of Malachi. God's people once again struggled to obey God. Malachi was sent by God to give the people a message. God wants His people to worship Him with the right attitude. Pastor Daniel Melton's message for this week is "Walk by The Spirit" with his Scripture reference coming from Galatians 5:13-26. We will also have a time of praise and worship. We are so thankful for Kara, Brent, Kyle, Marty, Pastor Daniel and all the others who lead us in worshiping God in song. We love you and miss seeing you, but we are the Church no matter where we are! God bless each and every one of you.
Our mission is to serve as a lighthouse in our community which reflects the love, grace and mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ. There is nothing more exciting than serving where God is working! The spirit of our mission is found in God's Word:
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
We Love Visitors
We believe that the door to salvation is always open and so are the doors of our church. Our mission is to be fully devoted to Jesus Christ our Savior by opening our arms to those in search of the TRUTH. We show God’s love and concern for our fellow man at every opportunity.
Through works of charity and opening our doors to listen and love, we feel that we are walking in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.
We are looking forward to see you here in our church and join us in our worship service.
