Help us welcome our new Pastor!

We are so excited to welcome our new Pastor and his wife, Chuck & Lisa Houston. Pastor Chuck and Lisa are grateful to be at First Baptist Church of Davis and are excited about what the Lord has in store as they serve together. They have one son and have also helped raise other children, including Capree and Colton. Lisa works in the medical field, and Chuck earned a Master of Theology from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Pastor Chuck has a heart for preaching God’s Word and shepherding the local church, having served in varied ministry roles for over 40 years. They are eager to walk alongside the church family as God continues His work at FBC Davis and look forward to getting to know both the congregation and the surrounding community. Pastor Chuck's first Sunday in the pulpit will be January 11, 2026.

Our church offers many programs that will meet the needs of each member of your family.

The Embrace Baptist Women's group meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month.

We have our Baptist Men's group that meets the 2nd Thursday of each Month.

We have an Adult Choir, Men's Choir, Hand Bell Choir, and Praise Band.

We have Children and Youth ministries that meet on Wednesday evenings for Bible Study.

This Sunday's Service

Please join us for Sunday School at 10:00 a.m. We have classes for all ages and we'd love to have you join us. The lesson for the Adult Classes is "Every Life Valued" with the Scripture coming from Matthew 8:1-4, 14-17; 9:1-8. The lesson for the Children's Class is "Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego" with the Scripture coming from Daniel 3. Our Morning Worship Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Chuck begins his sermon series "Ephesians - God's Blueprint for the Church", with Scripture references from Ephesians 1:1-23, Galatians 1:13, and Acts 8, 9, and 19. The book of Ephesians is more than a letter; it’s a blueprint. Written by the Apostle Paul, Ephesians outlines God’s design for the Church: who we are in Christ, how we are to live, and how we stand firm in a broken world. In this series, we’ll walk through Paul’s timeless instructions and discover how God’s plan continues to shape the Church today. We will have special music from our Adult Choir, under the Direction of Kara Smith, sharing God's Word in song. We are so thankful for our worship leaders and musicians! Through works of charity and opening our doors to listen and love, we feel that we are walking in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.
